Best Things To Do in Morocco

Wow, what a pleasant surprise Morocco turned out to be! For full transparency, the only reason I booked this trip was originally because it was April and I desperately needed to escape the grey skies of England. I did not do a lot of research beforehand, so I thought the holiday would mainly consist of eating and sunning myself by the pool like a sloth. Although the last sentence was true, we also packed in so much more! Let me tell you some of the best things you can do in Morocco...

During our stay, we chose Agadir, a city located on the coast of Morocco. However, this guide also covers Marrakesh as we spent a little bit of time there too, and I found out there was so much to do in both places!Check out From Taghazout or Agadir: Marrakech Guided Day Trip

After my fun-packed trip, I thought it was only right to pull together a list of my favorite activities and give you guys direct, easy access so you could get involved in the fun too! I found it better to book ahead, as some of the locals can try to charge a much higher price for tourists. Click on the links and book for your trip to avoid any disappointment!

If you want to truly immerse yourself in Moroccan culture, why not consider a guided desert tour for a few days? Alternatively, if this doesn't suit your preferences and you'd rather stay at your hotel, explore these sunset and afternoon activities.

A hot air balloon ride is simply breathtaking! You can wake up early to catch the sunrise in the morning or opt for one a bit later, both equally phenomenal.

You certainly do not want to miss the Ouzoud Waterfalls in Morocco. Morocco is more than just desert; here you will find fantastic waterfalls and even wild monkeys!

For those of you who want to move at a faster pace than a camel's, you need to book a quad bike or dune buggy trip.

Engage your inner culture vulture and take a tour to the Alas Mountains. You can see how the locals live there and experience a wonderful dining experience by the water.

This part of the coast of Morocco is a well-known surfer's destination, so whether you’re a complete novice willing to learn or somewhat of a seasoned pro, this place has surfing covered. Alternatively, you can also have fun by jumping on the jet ski!

Remember to visit the souk markets! You can get your hands on some fake branded goods if that is what you're into, spices, fresh fruit and vegetables, traditional tagines, and SO much more. Even pets, which broke my heart a little... Be mindful that there are a lot of beggars and pickpockets, so just keep your wits about you.

As you can see, Morocco has so much to offer for a variety of people, and hopefully you now feel a little more inspired to start planning your next adventure.

Thank you for reading,

With love,

Angel
